Itinerary:

Fairbanks – Arrival

Arrive in Fairbanks, known as the Golden Heart City! Make your way to the overnight hotel. You have the option to arrange your transfer with the hotel courtesy shuttle or take advantage of the convenient meet-and-transfer service.

Fairbanks

After breakfast, you will learn how the gold rush affected Alaska’s interior on a sightseeing tour with a visit to the Museum of the North (included). There will be time available for shopping, walking, or dining at your leisure in the downtown area. Cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler and experience the thrill of river travel. Tonight, consider purchasing the optional authentic salmon bake.

Fairbanks – Denali National Park

This morning you will be transferred to the Fairbanks Rail Depot where you will board a deluxe dome railcar for a scenic train journey south to Denali National Park. This afternoon, enjoy an interpretative hike along Otto Lake at the Denali Discovery Center followed by a reception with a “Welcome to Denali” talk giving you a glimpse of what will be seen on your park tour.

Denali National Park

Breakfast will be included this morning. Today travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour and search the vast wilderness for bears, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. This journey is narrated allowing for insight into the animals, flora, and fauna of this spectacular region including a snack on the bus. Early May and September tours are shortened due to road conditions.

Denali National Park – Anchorage via Talkeetna

Breakfast will be included this morning. Later, board your deluxe motorcoach for a scenic transfer south to the climbing town of Talkeetna. Watch for a glimpse of Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley) or black bear along the banks of the Susitna River.

 

Upon arrival at Talkeetna, there will be time on your own to explore. Later, board your deluxe motorcoach for a scenic transfer south to Anchorage. Tonight, share stories of your Alaskan Adventure with your fellow travelers at an included closing night dinner.

Anchorage – Departure

Savor a final breakfast as your Alaskan adventure concludes. Bid farewell to the stunning landscapes and warm hospitality as you prepare for your departure. Take advantage of the hotel courtesy shuttle for a seamless transfer to the airport, ensuring a convenient and stress-free end to your journey.

 

Alternatively, if you prefer additional assistance, consider purchasing transfer services to ensure comfortable and reliable transport to the airport. Reflect on the memories created during your Alaskan expedition as you embark on your journey home.

  • Gratuities to Tour Directors and Drivers are not included unless specified. Gratuity standards are $9 per person, per day for the tour director and $7 per person, per day for the driver
